Vigeland Park Sculpture Series
Vigeland Park Sculpture Series
Photographic renderings based on sculptures by Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland. The Vigeland Park, located in Oslo, is the world’s largest sculpture park made by a single artist.
This unique sculpture park is Vigeland’s (1869-1943) lifework. Vigeland’s theme for his 212 bronze and granite sculptures was “man’s journey from cradle to grave through happiness
and grief, through fantasy, hope, and wishes of eternity.”
Inspired by Vigeland’s sculptures, their power and humanity -- their sadness, controlled despair, delight, hope, and stoicism -- I created this photographic pictorial series of renderings.
